King Solomon rushed with his crown
to the wash-room,
placed he the crown on the alabaster sill
next to the golden mug in the loo.
The mug told the brass rivet on the crown thus:
‘U have no merit, yet u r placed so high.
Lo the Times are bad!’
Said the humble, but well placed rivet,
‘Merit doesn’t count when it concerns the functions.
I thru my strength fasten the meritorious gold’.
